My classes are a mix of Hatha yoga where we focus on specific postures and breathing techniques, and yoga flows (where we flow from one posture to another using breath to guide us). I include plenty of warming up and include somatic free flowing movement.
Different themes or focuses are developed over a few sessions help to help us expand and evolve our practice over time. I always give lots of options to allow you to explore what works best for your body, and develop a practice that is nourishing and personal to your needs.
All of my classes are infused with a mindful and self compassionate approach, and an understanding of how we can use yoga to help calm and build resilience in our nervous systems, to help us deal with the demands of our modern lives. We explore (with a light touch) different elements of the yoga tradition. And, always including a bit of fun and laughter along the way the way too.
Please bring a mat along if you have one. We relax at the end so a warmer top layer is often useful for this. A small blanket/fleece is also useful for padding for knees etc and as a cover for relaxing. I always bring some spare mats along and provide other yoga props.
Feel free to call me to have a chat on 07775687995 if you have any further questions or want to discuss the suitability of yoga for you if you have any injuries/medical issues etc.
